Chris Spies

is an international advisor to NTTP-I. He is a Senior Research Fellow of the Institute for Justice and Reconciliation in South Africa and the lead trainer of the Swedish Folke Bernadotte Academy’s courses on dialogue and mediation. In Nepal, he is supporting the UNDP’s efforts to promote collaboration and dialogue as well as the community mediation project of the Asia Foundation. He is a South African conflict transformation practitioner with many years of experience in dialogue and mediation in South Africa and various international settings. He was the Regional Organiser of the National Peace Accord structure in the Western Cape and later served as the first full-time UN Peace and Development Advisor in Guyana.
